Yoga - Sacred Self Care - Marianne Soucy - Give Your Dream Wings 840x582 text shadow 2I’d love to introduce a dear friend and contributor to my second book, Coping with a Dying Pet: My Dog’s Last Days, Passing into the Light and Other Stories.

Marianne and I met in an online author’s group in 2013. She helped me tremendously through the painful journey with our sick dog, and her first book “Healing Pet Loss” provided significant healing. She’s a beautiful soul, and connects with her Spirit Guides for healing messages. Enjoy her empowering message this week! It’s specially for you, if you know that your heart and soul needs to find a different path and you’re not sure what it is yet.

Over to Marianne

I wish to express my gratitude to Liesel for publishing my guest post on her website. Her heartfelt venture to help women change direction in their life is one which speaks to my heart. I know that place from personal experience, and in this article I wish to share my message through a Sacred Spirit Journey with spirit advice for changing direction in your life to follow your heart and live your dream. If this approach is new to you, I encourage you to leave your doubts at the door, so to speak, and read the article with an open heart and mind. May it inspire you to give your dream wings!

A Sacred Spirit Journey

As I begin the Sacred Spirit Journey, I become present here where I am, filling out my body with my awareness. The whole body. Letting go of stress, plans, worries – all that is not needed right now. Becoming a hollow bone for my spirit friends’ wisdom to come through clearly and powerfully. Listening to the sounds – people closeby talking loudly, music playing – all the sounds. If I let myself get disturbed and annoyed by the sounds – and label them ‘noise’ – I will be disturbed. Instead I decide to keep returning to simply listening and letting it all be as it is – without any need to change anything. The stillness I seek is within – and as I retreat to the stillness within, the outsiOcean peace - Marianne Soucy - Give Your Dream Wings 840x562 txt shadowde sounds stop being ‘noise’. It’s a process…

I take a deep breath in and exhale into peace. Moving down into the heart, which is the place I decide to live from. Passing on and living my spirit guide’s message of compassion. So needed in the world, and so meaningful.

I focus on my feet and I feel that my feet are bare and I’m walking on grass. A beautiful summer day in a garden. My spirit guide is there too. I look around at the trees and flowers. Peace, joy, beauty.

My spirit guide says:

For you who are busy doing something you don’t like – something that your heart is no longer in, your first step is to include time for yourself. Creating Sacred Self-Care Time is essential for returning to your heart’s joy and to find the heart path that you are guided to take now.

There comes a time in your life, when you realize that your time on Earth is limited and that you have many unfulfilled dreams – and a nagging feeling inside that there’s a purpose, a gift, inside you that you need to share with the world.

Perhaps that heart dream has been building up over time, or perhaps an event in your life woke you up and has led you to decide that a change is now needed, and that now it the time to follow your heart’s dream – and share that dream with the world.

However, as it often happens, that dream you carry may not be completely clear to you, or you don’t know what steps to take. So the first step is, as I mentioned, to schedule time for yourself – your Sacred Self-Care Time – every day. A time where you can let go of the demands of the world and your daily life – and for a little while retreat to the stillness within. It is in that stillness that you rediscover the source of creativity and get closer to and more clarity on your heart’s dream.

First step:

In the morning, when you first get up, do a practice like for example yoga and/or meditation to help return your body, mind, emotions and soul to stillness and peace.

Then ask yourself:

‘What am I inspired to do?’

Go into your heart and connect with your intuition – with that voice inside that so often gets ignored.

This first simple step is to find 1 thing each day that your heart guides you to do.

And then take action on it!

What steps can you take today to follow your heart’s guidance?

Just take consistent baby steps; added up over time they can transform your life.”

I thank my spirit guide and end the journey.
